How pitch day went

Pitch day seemed to be a success. I was pretty nervous but I did pretty good (I think). I learned some information like there is a graphic novel maker in webster groves. Fortunely they didn't reject my idea. They did help me with figuring out a good place to write (unfortunely I don't really have the place that they recommended). There's not really a place where I have no distractions. While there's no place for me to just sit down and write, I was able to make another way to find time to write. When I'm in passing period I will sit down and write for four minutes. While it sounds like it's very little it adds up to a little over 20 minutes, and when I stay up for lunch that makes it more than 30 minutes.

Pitch Day

On the 15th of December we have to show a committee of judges our idea for 20% time. They will ask many questions and if they want to they can even deny your idea (a book is pretty much all I could do at this point). To prepare for it I have to make a video explaining my idea and a link to this blog. I'm currently on page 25 of my book and have decided on the middle of my book. The middle of the book is the four main characters will go through dungeons to gain enough strength to gain huge amounts of strength.

Working Non Stop

I was working incredibly fast at first and writing multiple pages a day but since late November I've started to slow down a bit. It's not that I still don't like the story (I still love writing it) it's just that now I have to think about where I want to go with the story. I'm currently on page 22 and now almost all the main characters have been introduced. I now have to figure out what the bulk of the story is going to be. I'm currently deciding between two different middles of the story but I haven't decided what it will be yet. I'm leaning towards one right now but I don't know if I'll change it or not.

Origin of The False Demon

Ever since I was a kid, I would always play with action figures and make up worlds and characters and stories (the stories were a little predictable at first). As I got older, I would start to think about it and after some time passed, I was in fifth grade and my stories were pretty good. One day that year, I opened my Christmas presents and found a game called Darksiders. It was about a war between demons and angels and later, when humanity started to collapse, one of the four horseman of the Apocalypse came out at the wrong time. He was stripped of all of his power and had to regain it. After that game I got more into demons and angels and found another game called Valdis Story (another heavy influence) and was also about demons and angels. I eventually got so interested in it that I made up my own story (in my head) about a boy who loses his parents and earth to a war between demons and angels. I have thought about it for three whole years and I will finally write a book about it (it was originally a video game but I scrapped it because I couldn't figure out how to code). I have until May to make my favorite thing that I have ever made perfect.
